In this session, participants will learn about two ways that Washington schools are individualizing the educational experience for students. With Catalyst Public Schools, learn how to implement productive learning stations for students in 1st to 8th grade. With Lumen High School, learn about an innovative model to build a protective student-adult relationship through an individualized mentor who helps students navigate school. Following a brief introduction, participants will engage in an experiential activity to learn about the two initiatives. The session will conclude with a discussion about the structures necessary to implement the initiatives, and how they can be adapted to their context.
