WA Charters 2024 Conference

During this session, participants will review a case study of Burke High School in Massachusetts, a school that saw dramatic student achievement gains after creating an instructional vision and utilizing teaming structures to execute that vision. Participants will analyze the structures that were in place at Burke and identify which structures may be implemented or improved upon at their own schools. The facilitator will share the Massachusetts Turnaround Practice Components, Rubrics, and school Self-Assessment. Lastly, participants will analyze sample school improvement plans (with a focus on instruction) and use these resources to begin to create an improvement plan for their own school.
